Susan Harrison

Susan-HarrisonSusan Harrison consults with Prince College Counseling students, assisting with portfolio preparation, recommending appropriate summer programs, and matching artistic specialties with appropriate college environments.

Susan is the founder of Brick Street Art Studios (www.brickstreetartstudios.com) and the current Visual Art Chair of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. She has developed comprehensive visual art programs and curricula for a wide range of educational institutions, including eleven years as an instructor at the Louisville Collegiate School and four years at Fort Worth Country Day School. Susan also served as an admission counselor and teacher certification program advisor within the School of Education at North Park University in Chicago. Additional university-level instruction includes printmaking, photography, and ceramics at North Park University; 3-D foundations at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; and, sculpture and 3-D foundations at the University of Tennessee.

Having originally received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Susan also earned a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from The Corcoran College of Art and Design and an M.F.A. in Sculpture from The University of Tennessee.

Susan especially loves to mentor foundation students and work with them over a three to four-year span as they develop their art and design portfolios for competitive pre-college summer arts programs as well as for art school and university-level majors and programs.
