Brown University

“Scott was a wonderful college counselor for our daughter – he knows how this daunting process works and is an excellent guide, coach, and advocate. He’s visited and has good contacts at many colleges, which enables him to be an insightful advisor in pulling together a list of “good fit” schools. He understands how to best present a student’s accomplishments and interests, to help the student craft applications that make them really stand out and be noteworthy. His is no cookie cutter approach—he really took the time and asked the right questions of each student and his/her families so that he could mindfully craft a suggested list of schools that would be a good fit for each student. He has a deft touch in advocating for a student without coming across as too pushy, finding valid reasons to touch base with the right people every couple of weeks during the critical decision-making time period. Scott is an excellent writer—his letters on behalf of each student are thoughtful and eloquent. From our daughter’s perspective, he always made himself available and was never too busy for any question or concern, no matter how small. Our daughter did the work to get great grades, test scores, and recommendations, but we’re very appreciative that Scott played a critical role in helping her to get Early Admission to her first choice, Brown University.”
