“I entered my college search with an idea that I wanted to study international relations, but with little notion of where I wanted to study it. Mr. Prince helped me to find, visit, and apply to schools across the country with different emphases of study, social scenes, and roles in their respective cities. With Mr. Prince’s help, I applied to schools in New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Portland, OR and I did not receive a rejection letter from a single school. Having his coaching along the way and a strong short list of schools at the end of the process helped me to end up where I knew was best for me.”

“What a joy it was to work with Molly when my son was applying to colleges. On Molly’s advice, several years prior to beginning the application process, I had begun taking my sons to visit college campuses. By the time we began the application process, we must have visited fifteen or more colleges. Molly had encouraged us to make the college search process fun. Rather than do a whirlwind tour of 8 or 10 campuses over the course of several days, she suggested that we visit colleges while vacationing and/or visiting friends. When we visited Haverford College, I knew my son had found the right fit for him. Molly, however, reminded me that I wasn’t the one going to college, although my wife and I would be paying for it. Molly’s wisdom prevailed, and we stepped back and let my son come to his own conclusion. Ultimately, he applied early decision to Haverford. My son has thrived socially and academically at Haverford. Although many factors went into my son finding such a good “fit” for college, we attribute much of the outcome to Molly’s wise shepherding of us through the search process.“

“Our daughter had the privilege of working with Scott Prince as she began the process of choosing a college at Louisville Collegiate School in Louisville. Mr. Prince is a very organized, well informed and capable college counselor, and students and parents feel very confident in his abilities and expertise as he helps guide the process. His methodology of helping students prepare included a very early meeting with students well in advance of the application deadlines to have them answer a series of questions that aided in identifying the type, size and location of school that the student desired. Then, working collaboratively, Mr. Prince ensured the desires of the student matched the characteristics of the schools that they preliminarily chose, and that the students grades, scores and extra-curricular activities were a match for the particular schools. One of the most difficult portions of college applications for some students is the essay. Mr. Prince discussed the essay early in the process with our daughter and it helped her to thoughtfully and comfortably frame the topic of her essay. During her drafting, Mr. Prince was always available with gentle encouragement and suggestions for her consideration. We highly recommend Mr. Prince as a college counselor, and feel that he was an important asset in helping us select the appropriate college for our daughter.”

“With in-depth knowledge and experiences, Mr. Prince tailors college counseling to each individual student. I was an exchange student and knew that I wanted to apply to US colleges after a few months of stay. Mr. Prince helped me tremendously during the whole process: from an introduction to the US college system, the college search, and to guidance on the application process. I could not be where I am today without Mr. Prince’s help. Thank you!”

“With Mrs. Prince, I knew I was in good hands. What I’ll never forget is the personal touch: the one-on-one meetings, the advice, and the written-just-for-you recommendation letter. If I had to do it again, heaven forbid, I would still choose Mrs. Prince.”

“Applying to college was a complicated process, especially since I was looking at schools on the West Coast. I am the oldest in my family, so my college application process was the first for my parents, too. Mr. Prince helped us contact schools (not always easy with the time difference) and track the status of my applications. He provided counseling with essay writing, application tricks, and what to look for when visiting schools. He even called and reasoned with my first choice when they lost my transcript, convincing them to accept another copy even though it was past their deadline. With his help I was able to choose and get accepted into a school that was a perfect fit for me!”

“I approached the college application season with a need for change. I knew a small place close to home, while comforting and familiar, was not for me. Mrs. Prince understood my needs and interests and boldly suggested universities outside the country, which was the perfect path for me! I thank Mrs. Prince for her expertise in guiding each student to strive for a unique future. I would never have found McGill University in Montreal without her, and would have never learned so much in my time away from home.”

“Like most high school juniors and seniors, I felt anxious and a bit overwhelmed by the decision of where to matriculate for four of the best years of my life. As the first of my siblings to attend college, I had little reference to help navigate the process. Mrs. Prince proved invaluable. In my first meeting with her, she helped me define what I wanted from a college experience. She matched my preferences with a variety of schools from across country, indicating which ones offered me the best fit. I eventually settled on Emory University. And even after completing my application, Mrs. Prince continued to work with me. She arranged a private session with the local recruiter at my high school and followed up with admissions as the deadline approached. I thoroughly enjoyed my Emory experience and know that Mrs. Prince served a key role in helping shape the experience.”

“Scott was a wonderful college counselor for our daughter – he knows how this daunting process works and is an excellent guide, coach, and advocate. He’s visited and has good contacts at many colleges, which enables him to be an insightful advisor in pulling together a list of “good fit” schools. He understands how to best present a student’s accomplishments and interests, to help the student craft applications that make them really stand out and be noteworthy. His is no cookie cutter approach—he really took the time and asked the right questions of each student and his/her families so that he could mindfully craft a suggested list of schools that would be a good fit for each student. He has a deft touch in advocating for a student without coming across as too pushy, finding valid reasons to touch base with the right people every couple of weeks during the critical decision-making time period. Scott is an excellent writer—his letters on behalf of each student are thoughtful and eloquent. From our daughter’s perspective, he always made himself available and was never too busy for any question or concern, no matter how small. Our daughter did the work to get great grades, test scores, and recommendations, but we’re very appreciative that Scott played a critical role in helping her to get Early Admission to her first choice, Brown University.”

“My college application process was much less stressful than I anticipated, thanks to Mrs. Prince. Private school had been nicely planned out, so the most I ever had to consider was my class schedule for a coming year – I never had to decide where I would live for the next four. Mrs. Prince was ready to advise me on my strategy from the big picture to the minor details of my application. We started with a plan to apply Early Action to my first-choice school. I had my Common Application written and polished with plenty of time to spare. I was lucky enough to be accepted in November, but I had already applied to three other colleges and prepared a strategy to bombard safety schools should I get deferred or denied. Even when it was a simple matter of proofreading an essay or asking for letters of recommendation, Mrs. Prince was there to check that nothing was out of place and that I had nothing to stress over. But the process wasn’t over once I was accepted, and Mrs. Prince advised my family heavily once it came down to matters of making a final decision and fighting for the best financial aid package. Overall, Mrs. Prince made sure that the application was my own, but was planned out well to catch any worries before they arose. She is just as hands-on and hands-off as a college counselor needs to be.”
