“Having Mrs. Prince help guide me through college search process was a wonderful experience. Ultimately, I attended Vanderbilt University and loved every aspect of my college experience, both educationally and socially. However, it was the process I went through with Mrs. Prince that allowed me to find the right place. She took the time to understand who I am and where I could find success. Additionally, she offered insight and advised me to think about my decision in ways I would not have otherwise.”

“It was through the efforts of Mr. Prince that I learned how to apply for college. As a first-generation immigrant and the second person to apply to college in my family, college was a truly foreign concept to me. While my peers were attending college visits with their families and applying to their parents’ alma maters, I was lost and unaware of the importance of college selection. Through Mr. Prince’s guidance and personal support, I applied and was accepted into a number of competitive colleges that were a fit for my individual goals. While advising me, Mr. Prince also guided my family through the process knowing that they were equally in need of support along this journey. He invested his time and effort into my personal development, exceeding our expectations.”

“I approached my college search with great excitement and anticipation, but was quickly overwhelmed by the breadth and diversity of schools and even experiences. I did not know much, and was open to just about anything, which made for an exciting though confusing summer and senior year. It is safe to say that I would have been completely lost, and perhaps even paralyzed, by the confusion if it were not for the guidance of Molly Prince. Her advice and accessibility helped me to not only understand such things as the difference between a liberal arts college and a research university, but also to navigate how different contexts fit with my own personal strengths, goals, and expectations about the college experience.”
Middlebury College and New York University
“Our family has been fortunate to work with Scott in the college search process for two of our three children. Most impressive was his involvement with both the students and parents beginning in their freshman year. Scott understands that finding the right fit for a student doesn’t happen by chance or with last minute applications. Each year we would be given a list of goals and reading material so that we would stay on task throughout this process. Scott would meet periodically with the students, also scheduling appointments with the parents so we were always in the loop. Because Scott spent the time to get to know our children, academically and personally, I know that his recommendations were based on this knowledge…not just handing us a list of good schools or his personal favorites. He also was realistic with our expectations, not promising us the moon because that’s what we wanted to hear. Both of our children were able to attend “reach” schools, Middlebury College and New York University, because they each had a special skill the schools were interested in. Scott’s assistance in putting together all the pieces was very important in making this happen, not once, but twice.”
