“My college application process was much less stressful than I anticipated, thanks to Mrs. Prince. Private school had been nicely planned out, so the most I ever had to consider was my class schedule for a coming year – I never had to decide where I would live for the next four. Mrs. Prince was ready to advise me on my strategy from the big picture to the minor details of my application. We started with a plan to apply Early Action to my first-choice school. I had my Common Application written and polished with plenty of time to spare. I was lucky enough to be accepted in November, but I had already applied to three other colleges and prepared a strategy to bombard safety schools should I get deferred or denied. Even when it was a simple matter of proofreading an essay or asking for letters of recommendation, Mrs. Prince was there to check that nothing was out of place and that I had nothing to stress over. But the process wasn’t over once I was accepted, and Mrs. Prince advised my family heavily once it came down to matters of making a final decision and fighting for the best financial aid package. Overall, Mrs. Prince made sure that the application was my own, but was planned out well to catch any worries before they arose. She is just as hands-on and hands-off as a college counselor needs to be.”
